No One But You 4/17/20

“Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm73:25-26)

When I was stumbling in the darkness, You touched me and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

When I was afraid and seeking shelter, You touched me and said, “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.”

When I needed guidance and protection, You touched me and said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

When I hungered in my soul for the words of life, You touched me and said, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to Me shall not hunger and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst.”

When I searched for meaning and purpose in my life, You touched me and said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

When I had no strength or power in my life, You touched me and said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”

When I looked at death with fear and uncertainty, You touched me and said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die.”

Whom have I in heaven but You? There is nothing on earth that I desire besides You. Though my flesh and my heart should fail, You are the strength of my heart. You are my portion forever. To You, my Creator and Savior, I give praise and worship. Amen.
